It is small in size, but just right for a first jewelry box. My Granddaughter's favorite color is pink and this box, filled with a few items, was a hit with her for her 12th birthday.This small Jewelry box was for my 11 year old granddaughter. It is perfect for her. It would also be good as a travel case as long as you were traveling light or for a short amount of time. Although it is well made and pretty, the reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the earring storage beside the mirror in the lid is awkward and difficult to use. When I close the lip, the earrings tend to fall off.Purchased as a gift for a 7 yr old. This is VERY well made and just adorable. I picked this over the usual cheesy, poorly made "ballerina" music jewelry boxes because she can transition this into her teens and beyond. Yes, it's compact, but there's a lot of storage space nonetheless - especially for a little girl.My 6 year old daughter asked for a jewelry box for Christmas. I know, adorable, right?! This is so pretty and well made! She loves it. She puts her jewelry away and uses the little key to lock it when she’s done. ADORABLE. I was even thinking of buying one for myself because it’s compact enough to travel with and secure enough to keep things safe. (Not that a thief couldn’t just walk off with the whole thing if they wanted.) This was a great buy.Much smaller than I thought it would be definitely, but a good gift for a teenager or kid. I feel the company could eliminate the post earring section and left it as another open square. The post are awkward to utilize.
