I have always been fascinated with hidden things in plain sight, like a bookcase that slides to revel a secret room, or these types of book safes. I have several of these faux books, but plain ones without any safe. Those look fairly fake on the spines, but this one looks more believable on the spine and has textured plastic "pages" along the sides. Will it hold up to direct inspection, no, probably not. But it does blend in with other books pretty well, especially if you put it with other travel books. The safe is really fun and comes with two keys. It's pretty much a lockbox, so like any small safe it could be carried off, but it will take a minute to break in, and will probably be evident that someone accessed it. Overall, this is a great book safe that is ideal for items you want to squirrel away but have quick access to.
